When I visited Gadget Show Live I saw a few of these on sale, I asked for a demo and they sounded brilliant, so I bought some for £40. At the end of the show when I went to pick them up all the other sets had been sold. Anyway, when I first set them up I pluged all the cables into that little box and played a movie from my laptop, then I realalised that I could plug the different leads into the 5.1 soundcard on my laptop and they sounded amazing ! The subwoofer is absolutely pounding and the satalites are crisp and clear. However I always tend to keep the sub volume quite low as it can be a bit too loud and overule the mid-high sounds !
Overall this is a great system and I would reccomend this to anyone looking for a cheap 5.1 system !

bought the speakers and when connecting it to my mac found out only 2 of the speakers and the sub work when connected with the green headphone cable, is their any way that you can connect all 5 speakers, if so this product would be quality. HELP would be appreciated thanks.

I picked these up from a friend. She got them as a present and didn't have a use for a 5.1 set up.

These speakers appear durable. The soft mesh covering looks very professional, and won't dent. It's also very resistant to tearing. None of the input/output/controls are loose, or are going to fall off.

Features:
All the necessary cables to set them up, which is always an added bonus. The main volume control and the headphone jack are located on the front right satellite, which is easily within arms reach. I've given this area a 4 start, because all of the speakers except the centre speaker are designed to stand up, where as I have my front speakers laying down. As a result the stand stick out.

Performance:
They sound amazing on anywhere below 80%, but if you put them up too high they don't sound too great. But I've never had a need to put them up past 50%, as it's extremely loud at this point. Other than that, they sound amazing, and are possibly the best speakers I've owned.

Ease of use:
Everything is colour coded and labeled, impossible to set up wrong. At first only my front 2 speakers would work, this was due to an issue with my sound card software. I had to enable "Speaker fill". After hat I could make the rear louder than the front etc.

Other notes:
If you leave the volume knob turned to zero, but the speaker still powered on, every 20 minutes or so it will let out a loud pop sounds, which has woken me at night. So if you're not using them, use the power switch which is located right next to the volume knob.

I've had them since '09 and I can't fault them. I love my music and glad to say it can handle the sub-bass =D.
If you want a good looking, practical, and overall supurb system I can't reccommend it enough.

I bought this sound system back in 2008 they have seen some use and abuse and they still are preforming at theres peek... I love them... greetings from Macedonia Logitech :)

I'm a teenager in to pure quality sound and most importantly bass! the deeper the better. These speakers can handle any range or type of bass without distortion very rich bass that can also be altered to your liking. The surround sound is brilliant especially for gaming every type of sound is crisp and clear and surprisingly the bass doesn't over power the other sounds. These speakers are truly a great buy i would recommend to anyone i wouldn't buy any other speakers now.

bought these yesterday at currys for 35 quid and what a bargain, had numerous 5.1 speakers but these r different class in this money bracket. super easy set up, crystal clear sound and wow gr8 bass. only 1 draw back the missus needs to go for a hearing aid now lol 10/10 for these and id highly reccomend them to evrey 1

i purchased these speakers for my pc just for music. Now i have a laptop, so my 5.1 speakers are currently connected to my blu ray player and its amazing. Even when im gaming, i just wire them up to my console for insane surround sound. Unbelievable for the shoot em ups.

This speakers are so good ! for use with windows 7 put ur black jack on blue port or configure ur sound card for 7.1 sound and it'll work ;) enjoy !

I bought these speakers back in 2004. They have a punchy bass and amazing clarity even at the higher volume levels. They still sound as good as the day I bought them !. A lot of the larger PC shops still sell these speakers which amazes me after such a long time but I guess Logitech feel they have the recipie right and I would tend to agree. I wouldn't hesitate in buying this set again if I just needed a no fuss simple good quality 5.1 surround speaker set for my PC.

One of the best product i have ever purchased for the price. You probably won't find anything of this quality and at this price anywhere, the bass is excellent and is perfectly capable of shaking the room, and the high's are also crisp, but the mids could be petter and more filing. One thing to remember is that this isn't true surround sound it, stereo but with back speakers, but let this be too much of a set back the speakers still perform great! If you want a quality product at a low price, get these!
ps. I will probably upgrading these for some Z-5500 as i have heard great things about them.

I've had these speakers for 4 years now and they're still going strong, great sound although the bass is outbalanced if you set it above half. The only bad thing about these is the cardboard tube inside of the subwoofer can become dislodged whilst transporting, causing the subwoofer to blow; and is quite tricky to get back in place. I'd fully reccomend these as the best 5.1 surround sound PC speakers purely for the price.
