I've had this remote now for two years and I've been chuffed to bits with it. OK, the wife occassionally struggles to use it as she points it all over the place when pressing the button, but for someone who gets fed up with too many remotes - this is extremely powerful and amazing.
I've just upgraded to Tivo and although I needed to search the web for advice on the right codes (cisco CT8685) Its now running a treat. In addition, I've changed the icons using a handy website to the channel icons (the wife then uses the right channel) and I've even put a photo frame as one of the devices it controls... very flexible.
I do recommend changing the "speed between buttons" from default of 100 to 0 as it rattles along at a great pace.
I also think the way it can run my Xbox and the media extender on it helps even more, saving a lot of effort.
Not every Logitech product is a success, but I've got quite a few of them and I have to say they do a great balance of decent technology and value for money... just keep it up!

great remote if you are running a 32bit operating system but if you are running a 64bit operating system like Lion then forget about it because we have been told they are not going to produce a driver for it

I finally bought this item after a mate had the previous model. i knew how it worked already thanks to my friend, and couldnt wait to have one myself. i was a bit frustrated with the installation on my APPLE MAC but, after a little bit of digging on the internet it was easy to install and correct the issues....and after about an hour, i had it working perfectly and it now controls my SKY, 3D TV, Sony AV AMP and shows the Macbook on the pc input.
overall i defo recommend this remote, and dont be put of by some negative reviews, if the installation seems a bit stressfull, take a breath have a coffee and look on the internet for the answer its definatley there!
many thanks Logitech

A new extension to the house gave us a great opportunity to create the family room of our dreams.
50 inch plasma, full surround sound, blue ray, music server, movies on demand, LED lighting, the list goes on, and so did the number of remotes to run them. Our coffee table was covered with remotes, eight at the last count. Little wonder then the the love of my life started to have problems, and quickly got frustrated with the whole set up.
Now I've had learning remotes in the past and never really got to grips with these, but the Harmony 1100 unit is different. Yes it costs more than most people would want to spend on a replacement remote control, but then again it delivers a whole lot more !
Set up was relatively painless affair, with most of the kit being recognised, any item that wasn't was easy enough to create a manual entry for the device (LED lighting controller for example). The quick start guide said allow 30 mins, it took a little longer but then the more you invest the more you'll get out of this device.
Activities where easy to program, (it would be nice to have a option to replace the icons for these) with the online system guiding you through the process, all quite painless really. Customising the various "hard" and touch screen buttons is easy and straight forward but it would be nice to have a greater selection of icons to choose from or the option to import your own.
Now with set up complete and testing over, I've handed the unit over to the family, all find it easy to use and straight forward to select a activity and let the remote do the hard work.
We've had a few needs to use the "help" function and this allways clears up any problems we encounter.
Would i recommend the unit to other, YES in a word.
What i would also recommend is setting aside quality time to familiarise yourself with the unit and programing, to get the best out of the unit.
Ways it could be improved ?
Wireless controll functionality built in to control devices that dont have IR.
A flush wall mount would be nice.
The ability to run slideshows whilst the unit is in its cradle and on charge.
A greater range of icons and images to help replicate the original remote functions.
Other than that we are all happy. The phone calls asking me how to turn something on or what input the TV or Amp should be on are a distant past!
It looks good on the coffee table and has the abilty to back up its good looks.
If your drowing in remotes, take the plunge and get one of these on trial, you wont be disapointed.

I purchased this to replace a Harmony 800 remote which had given good service for several years, and I wanted one where I could use more functions in a darkened room. The Harmony 1100 achieves this, but I hadn't counted on the fact that you can use the 800 one-handed, whilst the 1100 feels more comfortable when holding with both hands. I suppose it will always be difficult to operate a touch screen with one hand, and maybe I should have considered this ? The touch screen can sometimes be a little slow to respond. Overall though, I am happy with my new remote. I had also purchased a new Panasonic Viera TV recently, and the Harmony had a little trouble switching it on, but an email to Harmony support had this fixed within 36 hours.

A sweet remote control.
Granted I got the remote for a one off bargain price from best buys, I think the full price is exsesive.
But the set up is easy (took approx 30 mins with my mac) even when the software didn't recognise my cable and tv it was still simple, just point the remotes at each other and press a few buttons.
You need a bit of time to play with it in order to get used to it, but come on admit it that's half the fun :) even the missus and my 6 year old daughter use it.
My products are:
panasonic plasma,
panasonic blu-ray,
virgin media HD+ box,
apple tv,
apple mac,
nintendo wii.

I have had this product for 2 months now, and think it's the bee's knees !
Took approx 30 mins to setup all my devices, and away it went.
Am also looking for other items that I can convert for use with this remote. Popcorn Hour C200, lights, etc.

I would not recommend this to anyone, expensive, complicated and can't intelligently work out what it should do despite the claims.
