Let me first say overall this headset is superb, the sound quality is outstanding crisp and clear, is easily customised and microphone is of excellent quality, I wear this for long periods of time with no discomfort at all (I also wear glasses) for these reasons I rate this better than any of the other gaming headsets at same price range (which I have tried and tested) but why have I gave it 4/5? 2 reasons... first is the cable it becomes tangled very easy even when you barley move the headset causing the fibre around the rubber wire to become severely tangled and tear making it unable to untangle, allot of people have also said this same problem. Secondly it is not supported by the PS3 or Xbox 360 only PC not a Major problem but the other brands do support this. Overall I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good quality gaming headset for pc.

The headset works well with all OS's that i've tested, even with Ubuntu and Gentoo linux. The 7.1 Passthrough on linux is a little sketchy at first, but works well with the latest ALSA libraries.
Gaming is very good with the sound, though some games can't use Hardware acceleration with this headset on x64 windows. Sound on PowerDVD and other movie media is the best i've experienced with a headset.
However, if you are prone to headaches, the headset is a little on the heavy side, and can become heavy on the top of the head, as well as the pads themselves can become sweaty after a few hours of use.
Overall 4.9/5. They are better than the creative ones, but the creative ones are lighter.

I could well be going over the top hear and realise I'm comparing to a different standard of product, but I have compared these to a pair of Beats by Dr Dre Studio's and I'm sure that there is very little difference in the quality for under half the cost. As said in previous review, bass/treble can be adjusted via config software, and bass response is BEAUTIFULLY warm, with very crisp highs. 7.1 for gaming is effective and immersive with the full over-ear design. Plug and Play is hassle free, and the accompanying software causes no resource issues or conflicts in my setup.
I do have one issue with build quality. The product comes with 3 different sized headband cushions, BUT there are no replacement earpads. I have had mine just under 2 years and the earpads have very much worn away. Logitech do not sell these as replacements on their website. On the plus side, contacted Logitech to see if they could help and they are sending replacement headset as product has 2 year warranty!
Overall, I love these. I would upgrade to the wireless version if I was to buy now, but if you'd prefer wired, these are a very good option.

I own a G15, G9x, and most recently, a G35. Having been gaming with Ipod earbuds for a while, Im sure you can understand how great I think these are. They are extremely solid, a little heavy (a good thing for me), and above all, they produce MIND NUMBING SOUND. The 7.1 surround sound is incredibly crisp and very responsive, and th ability to switch on the fly to stereo sound is great if you are a person with a lot of music. Although they are a liittle pricey, you get exactly what you pay for, a solid, great quality set of headphones that will greatly improve your gaming.

Shortly after my 'cheap and cheerful' Logitech headset fell apart, I went looking for a new one.
I soon found the G35 and a list of other high quility headsets and after reading many reviews, i soon found that the G35 was for me.
When it arrived, i installed the software and set it all up. I found that it sat so softly on my head, I could use it for hours at a time without a problem!
The Mic is such good quility, the Buttons on the side of the headset are a good idea and easy to master and even the USB Wire has fabric on it!
But the best bit of the whole headset is its speakers. 7.1. it had been years since i had used 7.1 due to the lack of space to put 7.1 arround my Computer, and i can really see what i have been missing out on.
It took me some time to stop looking behind me when i heared a voice from behind! I Have even stopped using my main speakers (My Logitech Z4's) and began using my G35's (I still use my Z4's for Music).
All in All, the price tag is well worth it, I would suggest to any hardcore PC Gamer

Having owned and used a Medusa 5.1 surround sound headset for the last 3 years, I was wanting great things from the Logitech G35 Headset. And I was not dissappointed. The reason for changing was a broken band to earphone connection on the Medusa....a known fault that these are quite brittle. However, I would be very suprised if the same were to happen to the G35. From the packaging to the use, this is a quality piece of gear. The build quality is simply superb. They feel solid, expensive (yes they are a little but you get what you pay for here) and overal, they look quality!
They fit snugly onto your ears....at first, feeling as if they are going to be too tight, but I got used to the snug fit very quickly.I wear specs and after a little adjustment so they don't weigh heavy on my nasal bridge, I was good to go.
Before starting any game or music and just putting on the headset, it's like emmersing yourself underwater where there is no sound. That is the immediate difference I experienced and is the first of the noise cancellation features this headset has to offer.
After three days wearing them for CoD MW2, they feel lighter than the old Medusa set. The sound quality is awesome. I had considered buying the Megalodon by Razer but didn't want another set with the in-line control setup. This adds to the weight on your head IMHO plus, although a fan of Razer products, I really didn't wish to spend the (UK) £150 they were charging!!
I picked up the G35 for £99, had I been patient, I could have bought from the same store but online which would have saved me a further £20. So a piece of advice would be to wait an extra day or two and buy online!
I have been having great fun with friends online, using the inbuilt Voice Morphing software. 6 Voices to play with and up to 3 per profile set. As an additional note, all friends have commented that my voice now comes through with absolute clarity and quality that the old headset could not meet.
At present, I have 4 profiles set up for diferent uses. One of which is music and one for watching movies on my PC.
For all applications, you can program the 3 x G keys to perform certain actions such asin the case of music; launch player, rewind, forward, next track etc. The keys can be tagged with different applications also, such as iTunes or Win Media Player.
For movies, controls such as; play, pause and next chapter can be programmed.
The really useful function that I use a fair bit, is the mic mute facility which is simply turned on/off by either a button on the left ear piece or when flipping up the mic boom. Bringing the mic boom down into place, will automatically turn it back on. There is also a barrel switch on the earpiece for volume control plus a small switch that you use to alternate between surround sound and stereo.
The software comes with controls for Mic sensitivity, treble, base and volume. Plus the voice morphing set up.
Both the software and headset are very easy to use, not over engineered and complicated and a joy to use everyday. Yes, Logitech could have opened up the software for us to play with sound settings per channel, but IMHO, this is just overengineering what is already, a great product which does it's job fantastically.
The only improvement I would make and it's not a biggie but a very nice to have when spending this sort of hard earned money on a headset, would be a carry case for them.
Therefore in summary, I thoroughly recommend this headset for both gaming and when wanting that home cinema effect in your ears whilst at your PC or laptop!
Fantastic and a job well done Logitech!

Though the features and sound is very impressive, I actually cannot use mine for more than 10 minutes at a time. The headset is way too tight on the head, and having to wear glasses at the PC makes them even more uncomfortable. The ears do tend to heat up quite a bit as well do to this tightness and no ventilation. It is also quite heavy, so though I am very impressed by the features of this headset, I do not use my set. And no, I do not have a 'large head'. That said, for younger people or those with small heads, I would go so far as saying this is THE headset to get for gaming. For those of us with normal or large sized heads, I would rather recommend the Logitech G330 headset, which is VERY light, VERY adjustable and goes behind the head - I wear these for hours and hours and forget they are there.

I got this headset few days ago and I want to say it has amazing sound quality! I like the g-keys feature, dolby switch and volume control. Also the mic works great and software that includes voice morphing is cool. The whole headset has a solid feel, its made from plastic that has a rubbery feel to it doesn't feel cheap. It was very easy to use it it didn't even need any drivers to work. But the headset still has some minor problems, 1st it ways very much. For me its not a problem but for some it might be. Also since the earcups don't have any ventilation your ears start to sweat pretty quickly. Other than that I haven't seen any other problems. Also I forgot to mention you can change the headband pads. They give 3 differnt pads in the box
