Not quite perfect...

But nearly...
Pros:
Good size & weight, the bottom is grippy enough that it doesn't slide around the desk. The screen is bright (as is the back light). Software is fairly easy to use, certainly setting up a new game/program is fast and for the most part easy.
Cons: (I have a list)
The thumb stick is poorly thought out, it works perfectly as an analogue stick, but you cannot configure it easily (there are ways round this but they don't 100%), if you just want to bind it to it's cardinals (up, down... etc) it is hard to activate these. The button underneath (vertical press) is all but impossible to trigger without triggering a direction.
As another reviewer noted rather than spreading the keys left/right they would be better in front. I have big hands and I cannot reach the extreme left/right keys without moving my hand off the wasd area... which rather defeats the point of the device. Same can be said for the G20-22 keys, these are the lowest keys on the pad and are virtually untouchable with moving you hand right off the pad.
The keys, are a little too smooth. They would be better to be slightly rougher making it easier to hold them.
Screen - Really hard to customise, older software came with software to customise this without coding. The newer software removes this.
Macro software - It's only Lua scripting but is harder to work with than it should be.
Don't get me wrong after my Belkin Nostromo n52 I wasn't certain I could get a good replacement... this is better than good, and I wouldn't swap back for very much...

I've been using my G13 keyboard for about 10months now, and I simply cant remember how i got along without it, once I got over the initial weirdness of not having 1234567 placed above my hand, and started using the macro features, this keyboard really comes into its own.
The whole unit feels solid, and its covered by the usual Logitech warranty, which I have to say is one of the best, when my G25 key broke, the keyboard was replaced in about 3days.

The pad is great, easy to use, etc. But for a keyboard replacement for gaming purposes, it lacks a much needed keyboard row.
Above WASD on a normal keyboard are the number keys. This whole row is 'missing' in the G13 layout, meaning instead the key commands are placed either side of WASD. This also means that buttons such as Tab, Esc, etc, are not easy to define.
Would be many times better if this additional row was present.
