This is quite simply the best mouse I have ever owned/encountered. It is very accurate (I run it at 2000dpi) and the ergonomics are just right. I never tire even after hours of intense gameplay. The overall build quality is very good with the exception of the scroll wheel (middle mouse button). Whilst it's great at scrolling, it inspires very little confidence when using it as a middle click. Basically the wheel feels very unsturdy when pushing it down (in fairness this is because the wheel can also be pushed left and right for sideways scrolling, but this ultimately makes the middle mouse button unusable). Whilst this isn't a deal breaker, it is the only let down in what is otherwise a superb mouse - highly recommended!

As much as I loved this mouse till today now i hate him. Everything worked perfectly (around 1 year) till today. I can't track anymore in Autodesk Maya with Middle Mouse Button becouse Scroll/Middle Mouse Button loos its hardness. So when i hold Middle Mouse Button to track in Autodesk Maya it scroll a bit and disrupt my tracking. Everything is worst how track hotkey can't be changed.
Give me new mouse Logitech! I would take him to reclamation in shop where i buyed it but ther's no chance they will accept it. They will say that mouse is produced so...

wow got mine this moring and would like to say best mouse ive had yet.
Here are good points: The mouse feels and runs smooth while in use in a gme or on desktop. The wieght system just feels like a logitech G5 which i personal think is the best for any type of mouse. While in game the on fly Senativity with the macro keys to go with it is great , ive tryed like COD4,5,6, Star trek online, Warhammer online, crysis and more with out any problems.
The only bad point is how to create the profile, which is different from the how you make the profiles on the G series keyboards becuase the mouse is in .xml files so if u dont know much about these type of files stick with the lastet setpoint to do any profiles but on the otheir hand if u know alot about .xml scripting the profiles are located in Example Win 7 - C:\Users\uraccount\Documents\My G500 Profiles Win XP - C:\uraccount\Documents\My G500 Profiles
so you can create your own files and place them in these folders, then import them when done.
over all i give this mouse 5 out of 5

I bought this mouse to replace a MX620 I got 6 months earlier. I got it because I wanted that extra edge to gaming. This definitely brings it to you. I'd say with this mouse, you don't need anything else. Lots of programmable buttons. The only tie (For me at least) is the pinkie rest. I have to place the finger first from the pinkie next to the right-click, since there is no space for it. Otherwise I'd give this another star.

If you have small to medium sized hands, this mouse is a perfect fit, and with the adjustable weights, you can make it as light or heavy as you like. I prefer heavy for a smoother but more controlled glide. A multitude of programmable buttons allowed me to set the keybinds on my games to suit my gameplay style, avoiding many keyboard keypress options, making for faster play. It just fits your hand nicely and feels natural to use almost immeadiately. Even the scroll button has left and right clicks as well as a down click... AND a "click to click" option which allows you to change the function of the scrolling wheel, switching it from a freewheeling scroll type to a clicky feel scroll. The adjustable DPI option is great too, although I can't imagine ever using it "on the fly". If I had to find any fault at all - it would be with the size of the 3rd side mouse button (yes there are 3!) it's a bit small and difficult to feel it clearly under your thumb, but once you know it's there, it's a great additional button. Make it in shiny silver or metalic red and I'd be in mouse heaven. Really a great mouse from a trusted and well known brand, worth the money. Brilliant!
