would just like to say i have been using Logitech mice for many many years and have always been impressed with the excellent build quality, reliablility, design and function. today my Anywhere MX mouse arrived and have been using it for the past few hours. i have design software and i am a gamer and this mouse is just brilliant! it is precise the software is good for fine tuning things and overall it is the most perfect mouse i have ever used. cant say enough to recommend this. if you want a small form factor mouse with big features that is designed beautifully with bomb proof build quality do not look elsewhere. 10/10!!!!

I'd recommend this to anyone who needs something that comfortable and reliable. This is the most expensive mouse I've bought but I can see and feel the difference. I won't be going back to buying cheap mice in future. The Darkfield technology is impressive (no light shining away) and the battery lasts a good length of time (swap out with rechargeable or standard batteries). There are a few programmable buttons but to be honest I've not really used them other than for a bit of gaming. I use this on my home PC, not sure if I'd like to get it scratched as it looks too good to damage.
If you can get a special discount on this then I'd say buy it but I was not happy to purchase this for the original price (I would have gone with Razer for that price which is the top-end of the market as far as I've researched).

This is hands down, the best mouse I have ever used. You can tell because I used "hands down" to describe the product. Who says hands down? Seriously.
So, the mouse is good. I spend all day on a computer. More like a lot of the day, but you know what I mean. I am using sketchup, illustrator, autocad, etc for design school, and having a good mouse is a must.
This mouse is a replacement for the another Logitech mouse I have. It's one of those little notebook mice that are cheap. Black, little, not-to-bad. But, the thing is, the click wheel is bad. Super hard to use it, which is super important when spending 20 to 40 hrs on a sketchup model.
This model has an independent button for center click, which is rad. Plus the free wheel spinner - some call this a scroll wheel. And, it has the thumb buttons. Once I installed the software on my MacBook Pro quad-core, 16gb ram, static drive laptop, I assigned the back and forward to the left/right scroll click and the volume up/down to the thumb buttons. The dedicated center click button is for expose. My hand doesn't come off this mouse.
I mean, Logitech, you should give me a free MX full version for this awesome review I am writing you guys. You know, to review. Plus, I have written on my FB [yawn] page recommending it.
Anyone looking for a good mouse to take around should pick up one of this little dudes.
P.S.
Forgot to mention, good speed for gaming and nice hand feel. Hand feel?

What a great purchase, glad I bought two - one for my lady as well.
1. I was amazed how simple the install was - plug it in (via the dongle) to Windows 7 (64-bit) or XP and it just works pretty much instantly. If you want to customise what the buttons do and see the battery life etc then just put the disk in and install the software.
2. It was reasonably priced, I found it for £30 on amazon, free delivery.
3. It works everywhere, even on our cheaper than Ikea laminated shiny kitchen table and my glass desk, both of which have rendered all other mice useless.
4. The middle wheel is great - by default it free wheels forever so you can flick it and let it spin (ie a physical hardware feature) and if you click it like you are clicking a middle mouse button it changes to resisting mode with notches on wheel spin like most other mice.
5. If you take off the back there is a space to store the tiny dongle and it comes with a tight fitting case so it is pretty portable.
The only bad thing is that as it is a laptop mouse it is a bit smaller and not good ergonomically for my large hands

I have just unpacked my new MX mouse. I must say that it is like no other. The feel (weighty, ergonomic),the quality (like a German car), the movement (so precise), and the set up was just a breeze. It elevates my computing to a new level (especially as I will be using it for intricate graphics work and for long periods of time).
Well done Logitech. But my only gripe is that I think it is a bit on the pricey side. I know that it is a premium product, but a price of 49.99 instead of 59.99would have been great!

By far the best mouse I've ever purchased! This is an 'Extremely High Quality' mouse. If it were a car it would be a BMW; solid, ascetically pleasing, and [yes] a little pricey. Bottom-line is that you're getting what you pay for, a superior high-end quality device.
Pros:
- Scroll wheel features two options; (1) click scroll and (2) free scroll.
- Center button is extremely useful
- Beautiful design (if you're an 'Apple' guy/gal, this is important)
Cons:
- A little pricey; but again you're paying for QUALITY. It's like a BMW vs. a Honda, both can get you to point B. So it's really up to the individual. I prefer the Beemer :-)
Conclusion:
This product has given me a whole new respect for Logitech. Hopefully, it will for you too! Good luck on your future mouse purchase mission.. Hope this helps!

Main attraction to the mouse was the darkfield tech as I work on a glass surface everyday. So far so good. The mouse has good functionality and isn't really that heavy contrary to what people say when there are two AA batteries in it. The build of the mouse is good as well, it has a nice feel unlike some of the plasticy ones out there.

Sorry for my poor english.
I bought this mouse a month time and i feel that it is really a great mouse. I have read some review saying that the mouse is too small and not comfortable. No offence but i think it is really depends what you want.
Im using it compatible with my laptop and i need to carry them alway. A small mouse is very convenient for me and i can point the mouse pointer with agile.
Secondly, some user complain about the weight as it contains 2 x AA batteries. Well i should say they didnt read the manual once they unboxed the mouse. Logitech has consider the weight of the mouse, therefore they have designed that you can simply put ONE AA battery inside to reduce to weight when you carry out.
It is a really great mouse for me personally especially i love the shape design of the mouse. Thanks for reading my review and enjoy ur life. CHEERS~~

I need(ed) a new travel mouse for work and chose the MX because of the 'it works on any surface' marketing. Well, here I am sitting in the Marriott trying to use it on a glass topped table. It *doesn't work*. The glass is less than the 4mm thickness mentioned on the packaging, so there's no excuse.
Aside from that serious drawback, I really don't like the product. It's uncomfortable to use and the thumb buttons just seem to be in the wrong place. Scrolling is a nightmare, using either method, and the scroll wheel feels cheap and clunky. It's also extremely heavy (for a mouse), which is due to the 2 x AA batteries.
What do I like about it? It looks nice, but that's it.
To sum up, I paid 70 euros for an attractive, unusable, brick. I'm giving an overall rating of 1 due to the high price and the *fact* that it does not work as advertised.

I use my laptop all the time, and even though I had a mouse before I bought the MX mouse, I rarely used it. It was a pain to use, so I just used the touchpad on the laptop.
Then I bought the MX mouse and now I rarely use the touchpad anymore. The MX mouse is simply awesome to use, no wire, no restrictions on where you can use it, so you don't have a to carry a mousepad around and the usb stick is so tiny that it wont break if you forget to unplug it from the laptop before you shove it into the bag. And the little pouch that came with the mouse also prevents the mouse itself from getting scratched when it's in the computer bag.
So all in all, this is the best mouse I've ever owned.

Recieved this as a warranty replacement for a 2yr old V450 nano. I filled a fault report, recieved a reply the same day asking when i bought the mouse and where i wanted the replacement delivered..! (the new one arrived 3 days later)
The mouse itself is excelent, similar shape to the old one, with a load of new features.
The 'Darkfield' laser is a great improvement, it tracks everywhere my old mouse struggled (glass, paper, glossy magazines & laminated wood desktops) with great consistancy and the (switchable) smooth continuous scrolling works well.
This mouse also has a slide which protects the laser when it's off and it came with a nice pouch that will stop it getting scratched/dirty in my laptop bag.
The only complaint i could find is that i prefered the colour scheme of my old mouse over the plain black,
plus i liked the car bonnet style pop up battery cover, which is now gone.
If that's all i can find to complain about then I think that's pretty good going, thanks Logitech!

Up until now, I've owned Logitech mice for over 10 years. My first Logitech mouse was Cordless MouseMan Wheel, the first wireless mouse to come from Logitech. Before Anywhere MX, I used VX Nano for my notebook.
First of all, I was quite happy with VX, but after it went bust for the second time, I dropped it and got Anywhere MX. What happened to the mouse was the same thing that had happened to several Logitech mice I owned before. Its left-click button. It either wouldn't register a click at all or, even more often, register it as double-click. Serious negative points for Logitech there. Now, Anywhere MX's two buttons seem sturdy enough, but only time will tell whether they really are.
Scroll wheel feels too hard. It's noisy, takes quite some force to rotate in click-to-click mode and even more force to switch it from one mode to another. It’s not very precise in free-spin either.
I can't but compare this mouse’s design to VX Nano. I find the new design a step backwards. Whereas VX Nano was a slick, streamlined and good-looking mouse, Anywhere MX is just chubby.
Ergonomics isn't too good either. It just doesn't fit well in the hand and it will start hurting after a short while. Two buttons on the side are badly positioned, too. You'll have to do some serious thumb-bending and be careful about how you hold the thing most of the time. The mouse also isn't very wrist-friendly, as you'll hardly be able to hold your wrist firmly on the desk and work with the mouse at the same time - unless you have very large hand.
The mouse is heavy for its size. It’s extremely heavy. That’s because it runs on two large AA batteries instead of VX Nano’s smaller AAAs. Logitech does provide you with a rather peculiar solution to this in the manual. They suggest you take one battery out to reduce the weight when you’re travelling. The mouse will still work with a single battery. But this is a laptop mouse and you’ll probably be travelling with it most of the time, so that's definitely not a very bright idea.
Even with both batteries inside, battery life isn’t too good. That does make sense, however, since Logitech's Blackfield technology basically means two lasers inside a single mouse instead of just one. You won’t really need it unless you’re decided on working on a glass surface, which is not very likely.
So, what does work for this mouse? It’s relatively good-looking compared to competition (which is rather bland). Logitech's, however, failed to show much innovation over the years in terms of design. Their latest top-liners don’t look much unlike my first, decade-old Logitech MouseMan. Also, Anywhere MX is not an eye-catching thing. It's actually a bit ugly. If you're going for a serious, business look, it will do. The mouse seems built well enough, but with all that weight in your hand, it’s not that easy to tell.
The whole package comes at a very steep price. It's possibly the most expensive notebook mouse out there. Is it worth it? I’d say no.

This is the best mouse that i have ever purchased. Not only is it extremely comfortable in your hand, the usability is amazing. I love the thumb controlled forward and back web controls, as well as the ability to click the mouse wheel between precision scrolling and free rolling scrolling(sorry for the cheesy rhyme). One more small feature that i love is the fact that the on off switch is actually a wide tab that covers the laser in the off position and uncovers it while the mouse is on, also the way the on off switch moves it has a snap like feel to it. One last thing to add is the fact that is uses AA batteries versus AAA, and when the batteries are installed the mouse is very dense and nice to move around. The mouse doesn't have that empty 3.99 feeling to it. It is a bit pricey at 59.99, but like everything else you get what you pay for, in this case you get more.

I suppose I ought to explain why I gave this mouse 5 stars in every department. I've actually spent some time checking out mice in various local shops, and this is what I picked out of maybe 50 mice I checked out.
What do you get? Well, it might seem as just an expensive portable mouse. But then, there's plenty going for it. First, the build is excellent. The mouse is heavy (with batteries), and feels solid - no cheapo plastic feel here. The styling is very cool and modern, though for me it's the functionality that did it.
Killer feature #1 - the inertia wheel. It actually has two modes - the 'clickety' mode where the mousewheel clicks when you roll it, or the 'freefall' mode, where the mouse wheel just rolls with inertia. If you haven't used inertia wheels before, you owe it to yourself to check this out. I had *no idea* how useful this could be. The two mouse wheel modes are switcheable by pressing down the mouse wheel.
Killer feature #2 - the tiny mouse button. Most mice have the 3rd button as the 'wheel click' which imho is really unconfortable. Here you just get a neat extra button, easily pressable, that acts as the 3rd mouse button, closing your browser tabs and whatnot. It's brilliant and I love it.
The two side buttons are nicely positioned. I would have moved them forward a bit, but they are fine even as they are. Ergonomically, the mouse is just what you'd expect from a 'portable' mouse - it fits nicely in the hand, though of course you're likely to get more comfort from full-size mice.
Overall, I have to say that I've been using this mouse a few months, and I'm loving it! It really is worth the price.
