This device could be wonderful if it was finished but it isn't. For example there is NO user guide. The installation instructions tell you how to plug it in, the features guide lists the wonderful features but no manual - anywhere. And it is a feature rich device so you end up ploughing through forums, reading messages from lots of other people that cant make it work. I am a techie so I might persevere, but if I was not I would trash it straight away.

I have two Squeezebox Radios and a Squeezebox 3 (a now discontinued model). I am running the server software on a QNAP NAS box. Installation on the NAS was straightforward, it's running 24/7. Both Squeezebox Radios perform well - one is in the kitchen, the other in the bedroom where it's used as an alarm clock.

Received this radio recently and first impressions are that it is a quality piece of kit, as you would expect for the price bracket its in. But it wont do what my Freecom Musicpal and Logic IR100 internet radios can do - access my music collection from my WD mybook world edition network drive that is connected to my wireless router. I should have researched a bit more before buying but its not made clear in the descriptions on the Logitech wedsite that you can only stream music from a pc/laptop running the squeezebox server software - which means it has to be on otherwise no music! The only NAS that Logitech support are selected Netgears - I've only just got my NAS and I cant afford to splash out again! Why the Logitech cant emulate my cheaper radios is a mystery and a great shame as the radio side of things is excellent.

Works straight out of the box. Easy to set-up Internet radio access via PC; installing Squeezebox on Netgear Ready NAS a nightmare!. Easy to access our library of ripped CDs - love album covers. Fantastic sound- compact solid build. Navigation around very intuitive. Automatic dimmer adjustment brilliant - how often are radios etc. too bright at nightime? - not this one! We use this via a Netgear N router and the streaming is virtually unbroken. I would thoroughly recommend this product. The set-up via disk is easy with just a little tech savvy and Logitech support support good if you need it. We will be buying another for another room!

Love my SB Boom and Duet; bought one of these SB Radios to get some music in the bedroom (Boom's aesthetics aren't bedroom friendly IMHO)...
...blasted thing doesn't synch with the other players and if I select on the Duet Controller, it downloads a different software version - and then re-downloads the normal software when I switch back!
What's going on Logitech - why isn't this part of the synch-able network?
