I'm really impressed with the Logitech Harmony 300i. After researching other more expensive universal remotes, I decided that the 300i had all the features I needed, all for $20 at my local Walmart. I have an Insignia 42 in. plasma TV, an Insignia blu-ray player, and a Philips soundbar all programmed to the 300i. Programming went flawlessly online, and I didn't mind creating an account to use what I think is the simplest and most straightforward method to program a remote. The four main device buttons light up whenever you press a button assigned to it, for example, the TV button lights up whenever you press the channel up/down buttons. That way you know what device you're controlling at that moment. Overall, I really like the ease of use and the elegant design. Highly recommend it for the low price.

It's a nice-looking remote on the coffee table and is still all you need to control your media center.
The remote is a bit unbalanced but besides that i have no complaints.
I would recommend this or one of the other harmony remotes to anyone who wants to get rid of the cluster of remotes on one's table.

Overall the Harmony 300i is a very good universal remote control.
Positive points:
- Reasonably simple setup, default settings are good (especially when compared with competition)
- If required, it is easy to modify default settings
- After setup, anyone should be able to use
- 'Watch TV' button is great
- Reasonably fair price point

Negative points:
- A second 'macro' button would be great ( "Watch DVD")
- the shape and balance makes the use of the buttons in the top a little bit harder to use with one hand (but all remotes with so many buttons have the issue to reach some buttons).
- buttons are a little bit small (most remotes with similar size have larger buttons)
