This webcam has an excellent picture and is a significant improvement over the Pro 9000, which I had been using. The software is easy to use, but capturing usable 1080p HD video in good quality is not very easy, as it gets compressed with the software and loses quality.
Skype is where this webcam performs well. The Webcam Pro 9000 would go to 720 HD on Skype, as will this camera, but with this, my Skype contacts have noticed a significantly better picture. They are not noticing 720 HD, they had that before, this is a far better picture and it seems more responsive to light changes.

The software is stable, works well and is a hit with the family, the kids love the masks & avatars whilst using Skype. Logitech Vid is a great bonus in the software.
The two microphoness led me to expect better sound than I obtained, but the sound is still good and perfectly adequate for Skype.
I am a big fan of the Pro 9000 and that is a well built webcam. This one is hefty for its size & sits well on the LCD monitor & rests solidly. The stand appears to have the weight in it and thw whole thing looks more delicate than the Pro 9000, but all it will do is sit on a monitor, so that is not a worry. The picture is very wide, allowing the whole family to get involved when widescreen/HD are enabled, so tidy your room - even the far corners before going on Skype!
Overall, for just £45 (many retailers are offering at this price at present), an outstanding webcam and well worth the upgrade. In short, delighted.

I bought this camera because i wanted to start making videos for a Vlog (Video Blog) i used to have a smaller lighter camera which wasnt HD or logitech and now i have the C910 i absolutely love using the best quality i can, the images are amazingly crisp and the stills capability is amazingly detailed when zoomed in close. having the auto focus is great too, but i found that using it extremely close up it isnt as good at focusing so you will have to manually adjust the focus using the control panel software included, but once you are focussed for close ups this webcam can pick up on my fingerprint!! Blown away by the detail from the camera.
the small niggles that i have about it is that the wire is not centered when it comes out of the camera so it gets pulled slightly just by the weght of the wire, i believe that i have slight OCD so i have to have the camera dead flat and centre ontop of my screen, so when it gets pulled slightly it does truly annoy me. but other than that its a beautiful peice of craftsmanship from logitech and the best webcam you can buy on the market in my eyes!! ive uploaded a photo of the detail when close up its stilll amazingly crisp photos even though when that close up im quite shaky, i will also put a video from youtube of my vlog that was shot in 1080p full HD.

First things first, if you're going to mount this camera onto a monitor then there is no better camera out there. Unfortunately, for those that use it free standing it is really frustrating. The quality is great, well made and is feels loads more quality than the microsoft HD cinema which I have also used. Unfortunately though the lessons from the quickcam pro9000 haven't been learned, the wire should really come out of the webcam to the rear centrally as it comes from the rear left and pulls the webcam either to the left or pulls it over completely. This wouldn't happen at all if the webcam still wasn't top heavy, the stand is once again slimmer than the webcam itself and it often falls over due to the weight of the wire from the left hand side.
Please logitech, you are very close to the perfect webcam but this is so frustrating as it is easilly soved.
Would I recommend the webcam? Yes ofcourse I would because the picture, audio and quality of build is 1st class but after it has toppled over for the 10th time in an hour I feel like throwing it out of the window!
While the stand is heavier than the quickcam pro9000 it still needs making wider, perhaps some retractable sides to the stand to stop it from either spinnig round or falling over? The stand definately needs to be the same width as the webcam itself. I have a feeling though that when the next big thing comes round i may be saying the same thing again.

Yeah a very well pu together webcam. Got it reduces in a sale price. £50 for this piece of kit made it all worthwhile. Not too happy with the software though. Needs more recording options. Such as 720 or 1080p. I dont like how you can only webtalk in 720 HD format either. Might as well have bought a 720p Webcam
But for the Money , im not complaining.

LOGITECH - COME ON PLEASE SORT THIS PROBLEM OUT AND GET APPLE TO RELEASE THE CODE REQUIRED FOR FULL COMPATIBILITY. BEING ABLE TO SWITCH OFF AUTOFOCUS WOULD BE A BIG PLUS

The cable makes it often quite difficult to balance the camera in the direction you want it. This is because the weight of the cable hangs from the SIDE and therefore it pulls the camera. This is SUCH a pain. It's clumsy for such a high spec device.
And yet again Logitech have failed to design decent reliable drivers. I can't be bothered to write all the bugs, but there are several.
Nice design though, looks nice.

it has really bad colours!!!!! dunno what other settings to do, but the image is green. Clear image, but green. and when im moving the colour keep changing. i want my money back!!!

This webcam replaces the built in webcam on my laptop, i use it regularly to communicate with my sister in Australia, the quality of the picture is awesome and my sister has told me that the built in mic sounds like i am in th room with her.
The other great feature of this webcam is the software that comes with it, i have not yet used all the functions but it gives me some very useful options for editing and modifying the photo's and video's that i have taken with the webcam.
Overall, I would recomend this to any of my friends and family.

I was impressed as soon as I opened the box, as the webcam was very attractive to look at and once in my hand I could feel the quality. it was easy to attatch to my laptop and very easy to set up ready to use. just 5 mins from opening box to be precise.
The quality of the images are fantastic. It truly is HD quality. I used it for chatting to my family in Florida and the crystal clear quality and realtime on it was impressive. I also used it for capturing a few still images and they were equally good.
There are lots of extra features with this webcam and it is really easy to use. I love it for its looks, quality and simplicity. 10/10

This review no doubt about it compares with my previous webcams whether it was from logitech, or from a webcam built into my laptop. The only problem I had with it was the software. It is REALLY slow, and freezes a lot when you are trying to change features and effects, etc. Otherwise when you are not on the software and are video chatting from a source, such as AIM, skype, etc. it works really good ! Although one time , my friend said that i looked really blurry at one point, but that mightve just been on my ONE desktop computer because it looked perfectly fine on my laptop.

the webcam is fine but my issue is the length of the usb cable which is 20 cm shorter than the pro 9000.if you have a flatscreen monitor and put the C910 on the top and then try to put the usb cable into the back of the tower it is too short.i have contacted LOGITECH and i put some suggestions to them.ie lengthen the cable by 20 cms.i now waiting on a answer

I have been using a Webcam Pro 900 for some times, and decided to treat myself to an upgrade to the C910.
I like the C910, the quality of image is outstanding for a web-cam. The syling looks great, and thee latest version of Logitech sofware installes easily and works well for me (I use windows 7 32-bit).

2 negative comments only:
- I am disappointed that there is no carrying/storeage case for the C910, it would be a very useful acessory to carry it neatly and protect it from scratches. Ideally I want to caarry the webcam in my computer bag with the laptop adaptor, phone charger and various other cables.
- I use the C910 with a laptop. I find that it is not very stable when perched on top of the laptop screen (by contrast the Pro-9000 was solid and stable)
The C910 has a shorter geometry than the 9000 and is also much lighter then the 9000 - together these aspects seem to contribute to the lower stability.
Perhaps if the frame/base of the C910 were about 1 cm longer it would add sufficiently to the stability, and yet still be smaller and lighter than the Pro9000.
