Very Nice 4 The Price

Went to Best Buy they were out all lower priced webcams except one C170. I got it ($17 or $19) but after hooking it up it is really am lot better than the old logitech "eyeball" cams...It has a decent low light function (tied in with a motion detector) & the picture quality & speed is not bad at all. But I noticed on my laptop (dual boot) the quality is is much better when pc is booted to Win XP compared to Win 7 (notice-able quality loss in Win 7).

Works well with Linux

I was skeptical about this camera before purchase as there seem to be no support for Linux. However, it works out of the box on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. Good quality for the price.
